Doctor Who: 8 Classic Monsters That Should Return In Series 9

5. The Terileptils

Hailing from the planet Terileptus, the humanoid reptilian race, the Terileptils, would make a truly remarkable return to our screens. What was so successful recently with the Silurians and the Ice Warriors could once again be achieved with this wonderfully alien race. Well known for valuing beauty nearly as much as they value war and destruction, this alien species are certainly a force to be reckoned with and would be easy to update for a 21st century audience. While previously the design of the Terileptils was limited to the production methods of the 1980s, a modern reinvention of this alien race could make for one of the most inventive, imaginative and terrifying updates of a classic Who monster to date. Furthermore, a single Terileptil could provide more of a scare factor than legions of the creatures so they're a prime choice for the next 'Dalek' style comeback.
