Doctor Who: 8 Reasons A Female Master Isn't The End Of The World

5. A Moment In TV History

There are few Doctor Who moments that manage to make it into the history books as one of British TV's most memorable moments but the reveal of Missy is sure to go down as one of them. And deservedly so, too. For the reasons mentioned on the previous page, the TV moments that become the most memorable are the ones that shocked, disgusted and entertained in equal measure. Missy's reveal achieved this in bucket loads - and then some - and everyone will always remember where they were when they found out that the Master had come back as a woman. That's probably because they were all kneeling in front of their television sets screaming into their heads (for whatever reasons), but the point still stands. It was even being discussed by people who don't consider themselves to be full time fans of the Doctor's adventures so it looks like it's managed to intrigue its fair share of newbies, too, which is always a step in the right direction. It seemed to annoy as many people as it enthralled so at least they balance each other out. If Doctor Who isn't causing some sort of ruckus, though, it's doing something wrong.
