Doctor Who: 8 Reasons To Hate Moffat More Than You Already Do

6. Boring Filler Episodes

Only dedicated Whovians know the pain of watching the end credits appear and the realisation that it€™s going to be a whole week before the next episode comes on - and even longer if there€™s a hiatus! The only remedy for next-episode-sads is getting that long-anticipated Who fix. So when Moffat presents a boring filler episode instead of the exciting, thoughtful content fans hope for, it can be sadder to watch than a Classic Who Dalek confronted with stairs. Any viewers of the recent Series 8 Episode, In the Forest of the Night, will have endured Moffat€™s garbled attempt at scientific accuracy where, for some reason, a young girl called Maebh can apparently communicate with the trees because of her mental illness. Yes, it wasn't written by Steven Moffat, but it was certainly his idea, and he has since tried to defend it. And why not? It makes perfect sense... right? And Dinosaurs on a Spaceship doesn€™t even need explaining. There€™s always hope for the next episode, of course. Or the next one. Or the next one.
