Doctor Who: 8 Reasons To Hate Moffat More Than You Already Do

5. Rubbish Monsters

From snowmen with dental issues to peg dolls with ridiculously proportioned heads, Moffat€™s monsters don€™t often have the desired effect. Admittedly, though, the likes of the Silurians from Classic Who probably wouldn€™t have sent viewers shrieking into the distance either. The Daleks, however, had always been the wholesome kind of foe that fans could rely on, until Moffat decided to reinvent the Doctor€™s deadliest enemy in a delightful new shade of various primary colours. Not exactly the psychological kind of insidious monster fans had come to love from the Russell T Davies era with the unidentified Midnight monster and the drums, the constant drums! Davies wasn€™t perfect, of course, and it's safe to say that most fans have long since suppressed the image of a disembodied mannequin arm 'hilariously' throttling Eccleston€™s Doctor. If viewers are looking for a family-friendly thrilling fright, though (try saying that twice as fast!), then Doctor Who may not be able to deliver since Steven Moffat€™s takeover.
