Doctor Who: 8 Reasons To Hate Moffat More Than You Already Do
4. Anti-Climactic Finales
Its not just the Christmas specials that are.. well, special. The serialised nature of Doctor Who means that the show has often been called inaccessible for intermittent viewers but, in an attempt to combat this, Moffat has given a compartmentalised style to each episode, meaning theres only the odd line of dialogue or a quick flash of a crack in a wall to hint at any kind of central plot. It's no wonder, then, that fans await season finales with their K-9 action figures clutched excitedly to their chests. But then Moffat pens a finale like The Name of the Doctor and a collective groan of effort and disappointment comes from Whovians worldwide. All other failings might be forgivable if a satisfying, conclusive finale made up for the messy subplots but so far, so floppy. Maybe Moffat needs to be told to go to his room?
