Doctor Who: 9 Reasons Peter Capaldi Could Be The Best Doctor Ever

6. Peter Capaldi

When a whole television show was created to announce the new Doctor, and Peter Capaldi was announced to be the next man to walk in the Doctor€™s brogue boots, he seemed to almost be in shock himself. As a person, he€™s less animated than Matt Smith and even David Tennant. This isn€™t a negative, though. It€™s a difference. One thing for sure is and that is that he's a fan. A huge fan. Having been offered an audition to play the role of the Eighth Doctor, he turned it down because he didn€™t think he would get the part. Now that he€™s got his dream role, no one wants the Twelfth Doctor€™s time in the TARDIS to be successful, enjoyable and entertaining more than he does. Obviously there are many actors or actresses who aren't fans and could do a suitably professional job, but the fact that Capaldi is a fan makes it feel like he would be more emotionally invested in playing the role. As such, viewers can€™t help but feel the role is in the perfect hands going forward. He€™s a superb actor, as his CV shows, but fans could feel his passion for the role from the moment he set foot in it. And let€™s not forget those eyebrows.
