Hand in hand with Gallifrey is the mystery that is Missy. Of course, we now know that Missy is the Master in female form, but theres still a lot of questions left unanswered. How did she escape Gallifrey? How did she survive being blasted into molecular dust by the Cyber-Brigadier? And just what does her relationship have in store for the Doctor? The most surprising moment of the final episodes of Series 8 turned out not to be who Missy really was, but her motives behind what it was she was trying to do. She didnt want to conquer the world, she didnt want to kill the Doctor - she just anted to be his friend. She wanted things to go back to the way they were when they were children.
