5. A Lifetime Fan
Shortly after Peter's casting was announced, news outlets jumped on the opportunity to emphasise just how devoted a fan he'd been all throughout his life. Indeed, online sources were very quick to share fan-art and letters that Peter had sent to the Radio Times throughout his youth and thus, his true Whovian credentials were shown to the whole world. While Capaldi was embarrassed by his past nerdiness when this was discussed on The Graham Norton Show, fans took this as a sure sign that the role and the show were in very good hands indeed. His adoration for the show he now finds himself the face of means that the role will always hold the most special place in his heart and we'll always see Capaldi at his best when filming episodes. Further to this, his love of fans and the whole Whovian fandom has been seen time and time again his Peter willingly poses for photographs, signs autographs, and chats to fellow nerds about their shared love of the show. This passion comes through on-screen in every shot Capaldi films.
