The Doctor Falls sees the first time on screen we witness two Masters collide. But how on Earth would this partnership end?

Series 10 explores Missy's redemption with the Doctor, wishing to be their friend and ally again. But what happens when the Simm Master turns up again, an incarnation who has made their stance on the Doctor very clear. This stance is compounded by the Master's position after the Doctor nearly begs the two of them to do what is right, and he simply walks off.

So when Missy wants to go and stand with the Doctor, what do they decide is the best course of action? Missy stabs the Master, in order to make him regenerate, and allowing her to go and be with the Doctor. However, in retaliation, the Master simply uses his laser screwdriver, to shoot her in the back.

As the Master says, in the end, they both stab each other in the back. There seems like no more of a perfect way to 'end' their relationship.

Seemingly, this story ends with the Master apparently actually dead. However, skip one series, and Series 12 opens with the Master back once again and more psychotic than ever...
