There was an awful lot to like about this two-parter to kick off Chibnall's second series in charge, even if the title was extremely lame. The killing off of multiple characters from the get go was executed well, but it was the imminent danger that the Doctor and her companions found themselves in that really peaked our interests.

The first episode's cliffhanger was an absolute doozy, with the reveal that the seemingly innocent Agent O was actually The Master. His teaming up with billionaire tech guru Daniel Barton, brilliantly portrayed by Lenny Henry, and an alien entity known as 'the Kasaavin', proved to the most villainous plot Whittaker's Doctor has encountered.

The concluding episode bites a little more off than it can chew and the threat is quelled far too easily, but there are still some great highlights, including The Master and The Doctor 'catching up' on the Eiffel Tower. Sacha Dhawan is perfect as the new Master, the most ruthless interpretation of the character we've seen in NuWho. The moments involving him he leading a group of Nazis is truly chilling stuff.

The highlight of the episode comes in the cliffhanger that sets up the remainder of the series, with the reveal that Gallifrey has been destroyed. The fact that it was The Master who did it in response to the truth about the 'Timeless Child,' was plot setting of the highest order.

With all the suave and sophistication of any Aussie half way through a slab, Luke will critique every minute detail of films and shows from all eras- unless it's 1990's Simpsons episodes, because they're just perfect
