Doctor Who: BBC Centenary Special Trailer Breakdown - 11 Things You Must See

For the fourth time in this era, the Daleks are back!

The Daleks make their return after only just appearing in the New Year special, but return with their classic plungers and guns, after several appearances changing attachments.

They're the first returning foe on this list, and obviously play a part in the Time prophecy from the Flux finale, where the Doctor is told "beware of the forces that mass against you".

The trailer gives us a glimpse at three Daleks, as well as one badass moment which we'll be sure to get to later.

Also of note, the Daleks are present on an 'orange rock' location. Gallifrey?! This could be totally jumping the gun, and whilst seemingly destroyed various times in Series 12, if we are addressing the Timeless Child lineage, where better place to be. If we're throwing the kitchen sink at this, what the hell, stick the Daleks on Gallifrey post-Time War!

Whether the planet of the Time Lords or not, those rocks look very un-Earth like, so adds to the idea of multiple locations for the story.

Some people think Daleks are over-used, and maybe they are. But this is the BBC centenary, the Daleks are arguably their hottest property - of course they're involved!
