9. Noel Clarke
The Role: Basically the same as Rory, minus the plastic Roman bit. Noel Clarke took Mickey Smith from being Rose's scaredy-cat useless boyfriend to Defender of the Earth across the revived show's first two series - as well as a couple of cameos in 2008 and 2010.
Where Is He Now? Post-Who, Clarke has worked on the writing and directing side of his CV, most notably on the films Kidulthood and Adulthood but also on Torchwood for which he wrote an episode of the show's first series.
He's still appearing in front of the camera as well as behind it, however, turning up in such TV shows as ITV crime drama Chasing Shadows (alongside Alex Kingston, no less) and in films like Star Trek Into Darkness. He's the one that evil Benedict Cumberbatch blackmailed into blowing up a Starfleet archive building.
