Doctor Who: EVERY NuWho Villain And Monster Ranked Worst To Best

28. Lady Cassandra

Doctor Who villains
BBC

Appears in: The End of the World, New Earth.

The ever-brilliant Zoƫ Wanamaker voices the self-proclaimed "last pure human" with a sharp sassiness. Given Rose's understandable overwhelmingness at seeing so many aliens all at once on her first trip through time and space, at least she could take some comfort in the fact humans still remain downright dodgy - with Cassandra sabotaging the roasting Earth event on Platform One for moneymaking purposes in order to maintain her extremely expensive bitchy trampoline look. Until she quite literally overstretched herself.

However, Cassandra's brain remained intact and the next time we see her she's skulking about in the less opulent surroundings of New New York's Hospital basement with her faithful servant, Chip. Although there's less Wanamaker in New Earth, the interchanging of Cassandra's character between the Doctor and Rose showcases Russell T Davies' natural flair for comedic writing.

Unlike Nine's uncompromising attitude towards Cassandra, Ten arranges her final moments (this time as Chip) to tell her past self how beautiful she is. Talk about narcissism.

The name's Colbourn, James - yeah, doesn't quite have the same ring to it.
