Doctor Who: EVERY NuWho Villain And Monster Ranked Worst To Best

20. Margaret Blaine

Doctor Who villains
BBC

Appears in: Aliens of London/World War Three, Boom Town.

Although we've already covered the Slitheen family earlier, Annette Badland fleshes out Blon Fel Fotch Passameer-Day Slitheen, aka Margaret Blaine, that she deserves a more prominent position on this list.

Having survived the Downing St bomb blast by teleporting out, then eventually serving as Cardiff's Lord Mayor, Badland makes Blon a compellingly well-rounded character - ironically displaying human compassion towards a pregnant journalist when unzipped as full-blown Blon.

Her absorbing "last supper" with the Doctor makes you forget (thankfully) the silliness of the Slitheen. Indeed, Christopher Eccleston enthused that “Margaret Slitheen is the performance of the series. She just pinions the Doctor in the same way the Daleks do. It’s spellbinding to watch."

The name's Colbourn, James - yeah, doesn't quite have the same ring to it.
