Doctor Who: Every Tenth Doctor Episode Ranked From Worst To Best

14. Army Of Ghosts/Doomsday

Daleks versus Cybermen. This could've easily turned into a self-indulgent piece of fan-fiction, but it ended up being one of the most action-packed, fist-pumping, and tear-jerking Doctor Who stories ever.

As well as giving fans the ultimate showdown between the two most iconic Doctor Who baddies, Army of Ghosts/Doomsday serves as Billie Piper's final story, and it gives her plenty of opportunities to shine.

The final scene also goes down as one of the most iconic moments of Doctor Who, and perhaps in 21st century television as a whole, as the Doctor and Rose bid each other an emotional farewell on the beach with that haunting score in the background.

A near-perfect balance of action, humour, and heart - Doctor Who doesn't get much better than this.

An avid cinephile, love Trainspotting (the film, not the hobby), like watching bad films ironically (The Room, Cats) and hate my over-reliance on brackets (they’re handy for a quick aside though).
