The Eleventh Doctor started out as a shy, nerdy kid with the memories and experiences of a man who was centuries old. This changed through time as his relationship with River Song made him much more confident, and dangerously close to being described as "laddish".

Eleven had one of the longest lives a Doctor has ever had. He learned the truth that River Song was the daughter of his companion Amy Pond, visited his own tomb, and became so feared that his greatest foes assembled to seal him inside the Pandorica.

Alongside two previous incarnations, he also ended the Time War by saving Gallifrey, freeing himself from the guilt of having initially destroyed it.

Though this was the first Doctor to run out of lives, he was given an explosive new regeneration cycle by the Time Lords, allowing him to regenerate into his next incarnation.
