Doctor Who Flux: 14 Best Easter Eggs You Might've Missed

4. The Brigadier's Cameo

Another "best easter egg in the entire series" is this one from Survivors Of The Flux, with legendary Doctor Who companion Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart bagging himself a cameo 32 years after his last proper appearance in the show.

If you rustled a crisp packet or shuffled on your couch while Prentis and Farquhar walked down the stairs at UNIT HQ, you might've missed the Brig's line "Lethbridge-Stewart here, I want a call to the RAF please", which comes from a room offscreen.

Brilliantly, this line is lifted directly from the 1971 serial Terror Of The Autons, meaning that Nicholas Courtney sort-of "reprised" the role.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
