While we're discussing the curious case of Dan Lewis, one of the strangest scenes in Once, Upon Time was that moment where he bumped into Joseph Williamson.

It was a pretty funny interaction between the pair, but what if it's much more than that? Considering the fact that this episode involved our main characters journeying through their own timestreams (past and future), what're the chances that Joseph knows Dan... but Dan doesn't yet know him?

When the Doctor is sat on Yaz's couch, she tells her that "We're hiding all of you in your own timestreams. In your own memories - past, present, or even future." So, it's entirely possible that Dan was chucked into an event that he hasn't yet experienced.

Plus, the way Joseph spoke to Dan almost sounded like he already knew him - lines like "why are you dallying here?" and "why do you disobey the task?".

Our guess is that the Angels are involved somehow. Perhaps Series 13 has a dark ending for Dan, and he gets zapped back in time to live out the rest of his days in 1820s Liverpool, closing the loop on his apparent connection with Williamson.
