Doctor Who Regenerations: Ranked From Worst To Best

12. The Sixth Doctor To The Seventh Doctor

One of the worst regenerations to ever grace our screens, the Sixth Doctor's regeneration into his seventh incarnation was less than impressive. Having been unceremoniously replaced, Colin Baker (quite rightly) refused to shoot a regeneration scene and so helpful old Sylvester McCoy offered to don a blonde wig and play both the Sixth and newly regenerated Seventh Doctors. While fans only have a brief glimpse of the newly deceased Sixth Doctor, it's quite clearly not Colin Baker and thus, completely ruins the moment. Furthermore, the less than heroic final moments given to the Sixth Doctor just don't do him justice. In life, the Sixth Doctor had been dramatic and bombastic, heroic and brave (if a little difficult at times). Unfortunately, his death is glossed over and he was swept from our screens and under the rug. A truly shameful regeneration indeed, Doctor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_OT2obe710
