Doctor Who: Revived Series 14 Stupidest Idiot Plots... So Far

3. Death In Heaven

There are moments that are stupid, and then there are episodes transitioning from one stupid moment to the other. Death in Heaven is the latter. Everybody in that episode was stupid without prejudice. Why would UNIT put the Doctor unconscious the moment when the end of the world was happening around them and the earth needs the Doctor€™s absolute time and focus? Because why not? Why would UNIT put the TARDIS next to the only other person in the universe who can pilot it that also happens to be one of the most dangerous threats the universe have ever seen? Because, why not? If they had a tranquilizer that can put a Time Lord unconscious, why didn€™t they just put Missy to sleep in all times they didn€™t need Missy to answer any questions? Because, why not? Why didn€™t the guards notice Missy escaping when they were supposed to be looking directly at her? And when she did escape, why didn€™t they do anything but stand perfectly still? Did they want to die? When the UNIT airplane was being attacked by Cybermen, why didn€™t anyone think of boarding the TARDIS to escape? Was mass suicide all the rage back then? They just senselessly died right there. The Doctor didn€™t suggest going to the TARDIS? He didn€™t board the TARDIS too, only doing so until everyone was already dead and he was the only one left. If he is not an idiot, then the only logical explanation is€ he let them die. So€ he€™s an idiot then.
