Doctor Who: Revived Series 14 Stupidest Idiot Plots... So Far

13. Why Didn€™t They Look Inside The Daleks?

Victory of the Daleks was a little story about the Daleks trying to convince the humans that they were good robots in their service. It was sort of like The Power of the Daleks if they did it infinitely worst. So for the Whovian beginners that are reading this out there, watch that instead €“ you know - if it gets restored a hundred years later. Victory was an episode full of stupid, but besides the silly execution of the premise and the unnecessary redesign of the Daleks that added nothing to their character but change for the sake of an obvious attempt to sell toys; the stupidest aspect of the episode still escapes the fans. Namely, the only thing the Doctor had to do to convince humanity that the Daleks weren€™t robots was to let the scientist open up a Daleks exterior shell to show that there was living breathing creature underneath. It€™s hard to believe that the Doctor couldn€™t convince the people to just do that to the point that he would have tantrums, especially with his silver tongue. But let€™s be generous and say it was possible; he still had a sonic screwdriver with him to have opened it himself. Why didn€™t the scientist just willingly open up a Dalek to shut the Doctor up, anyways? It was like they were all stupid or something.
