Doctor Who: Revived Series 14 Stupidest Idiot Plots... So Far
12. Why Didnt The Villain Alliance Just Kill The Doctor?
All of the Doctors greatest enemies feared the day that the Doctor would destroy all of reality using the TARDIS. They apparently had a shared premonition -- which was never clearly explained. So they banded together to devise a plan. At the day that the Doctor was supposed to kill the universe, they captured him and put him unconscious so that they could put him in the Pandorica - the most inescapable prison in the universe - away from the TARDIS. Question to the Alliance, though; why didnt you guys just kill him? You didnt think of that when you guys were wavering about in the sky, sitting up there in your silly little spaceships with all your silly little guns, and you had the Doctor completely surrounded? Come on, look at him! No plan, no backup, no weapons worth a damn. Or how about when you guys were doing the impossible task of combining all of your intellects and resources to engineer a theoretically impossible to build prison just to put the Doctor there? Did killing him ever came up in your thoughts when you guys were building that? Okay, fine, explain later. It wasn't that the idiot plot of just kill the Doctor havent appeared a dozen times before, from the classic to this day on - Its just that with the room filled with the Doctors greatest enemies for the first time in history, and a big build up that started since the very beginning of series 5, it just made it all the more obvious and careless looking than ever.
Once upon a time, Jon ended up in a huge dark room with a giant screen... and he never left.
