Doctor Who Series 11: 8 Ups & 2 Downs From 'The Woman Who Fell To Earth'

3. The Villain

Doctor Who Tim Shaw
BBC

So this wouldn’t be an episode of Doctor Who without a ‘hide behind the sofa’ villain, but we got one. Oh, we got one, in the form of Tzim-Sha of the Stenza, or Tim Shaw to me, you, and the Doctor.

So this weird individual comes from a warrior race, came from an egg, is very cold, subsequently bright blue, and uses the teeth from his numerous victims as a gruesome vajazzle for his face. Turns out he’s on earth to hunt down one human to take back to his planet as a trophy, which is definitely in keeping with the darkness of this episode - maybe even a tad too dark, given how many kids will be watching, but it largely works here, and is balanced by the episode's highlight: a drunken man throwing his kebab at Tim Shaw.

Also the go-to for Doctor Who, and could tell you why Sans Serif fonts are better than most. Still occasionally tap dances under the desk.
