Doctor Who Series 11: 8 Ups & 2 Downs From 'The Woman Who Fell To Earth'

2. The Companions

Doctor Who Series 11
BBC

We’ve finally been properly introduced to Ryan, Yaz, and Graham, the Thirteenth Doctor’s new companions - or rather, 'friends'.

The best thing about the trio is that they are normal. Very normal. There's not a single hint of some ‘mass universal significance,’ a trait which hopefully died in Series 10. Also, it's nice that they’re out with The Doctor by accident, with no ‘d’you wanna come with me’ speech at the end of episode one.

None of them actually seemed keen to experience that episode’s events over and over again. Yaz says ‘is this normal for you?’ She’s definitely not on board. But they end up stuck in space anyway, and that should be a very interesting dynamic in the coming episodes.

Also the go-to for Doctor Who, and could tell you why Sans Serif fonts are better than most. Still occasionally tap dances under the desk.
