Doctor Who Series 13: 8 Leaked Details We Already Know

You can't have a series of Doctor Who without incorporating one or two historical episodes, and so far - with the likes of Rosa, and Nikola Tesla's Night Of Terror - these have been among the best stories in the Chibnall era.

It's pretty much guaranteed that Series 13 will include at least one historical episode, and the double-whammy combination of a CV screenshot and some unofficial set photos seems to have given us a look at what to expect in this regard.

First of all, that CV screenshot - posted to Twitter in early November 2020 - shows that actress Sara Powell will be playing Mary Seacole in an upcoming episode. Seacole lived from 1805-1881, and was a British-Jamaican nurse involved in the Crimean War.

As for those set photos, a fan managed to snap this picture in mid-November, which shows a group of actors outfitted in red costumes that look like a perfect fit for that mid-1800s time period. It's also said that Jodie Whittaker was seen at this location.

All of this evidence points to a "celebrity historical" revolving around Mary Seacole and the Crimean War, which sounds like a fantastic idea considering that, again, these historicals have been a strength of the Chibnall era.

Seacole definitely isn't as famous as some of the other historical figures that Doctor Who has explored in recent years (Vincent van Gogh, Agatha Christie, Rosa Parks), but this actually makes her a good character to include, because a lot of viewers at home will be learning about this portion of her life for the very first time.

He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
