According to another CV leak, Maxine Alderton isn't going to be the only Series 12 crew member who returns for Series 13.

In November 2020, online sleuths noticed that the CV of cinematographer Robin Whenary mentioned that he'd be working on Series 13 of Doctor Who, alongside Jamie Magnus Stone as director, and NuWho veteran Nikki Wilson as producer.

If Stone's name rings a bell, that's because he helmed several stories in Series 12, including Spyfall: Part One, Ascension Of The Cybermen, and The Timeless Children.

As for Wilson, she's been with Doctor Who for over a decade - one of the earliest stories she produced was the 2009 special The Waters Of Mars.

The fact that Chibnall has chosen Stone to direct more episodes in Series 13 might be an indicator that the major story developments seen in The Timeless Children - which, again, Stone also directed - will be further explored in these upcoming episodes.

Alternatively, Chibnall might just want some reliable collaborators by his side, considering the difficulties of filming a sci-fi TV show during a pandemic.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
