Doctor Who Series 2 Cast: Where Are They Now?
3. Andrew Hayden-Smith
When the Doctor, Rose, and Mickey end up in a parallel universe and witness the genesis of the Cybermen, they join up with a ragtag group of freedom fighters to help defeat the metal monsters.
One member of the gang is Jake Simmonds, a baby-faced rebel with spiky hair and a Northern accent to die for. He appears in both Cybermen episodes and returns for the series finale, each time played by Andrew Hayden-Smith.
Hayden-Smith got his lucky break when he visited his sister on the set of Byker Grove, which led to a long-running role in the iconic teen drama series, and kick-started his acting career.
Post-Who however, the Cyber-slayer has mainly stuck to presenting, and appeared on 2013's Doctor Who edition of Pointless Celebrities, where he partnered with Nicola Bryant.
He returned to acting with a recurring role in Hollyoaks between 2016 and 2017, which marked the last notable credit to his name.
He's very active on social media however, and often posts snaps of his adorable little dog Freddie.
