Doctor Who Series 7: 10 Reasons Why You Must Watch

1. Farewell Ponds

Saying goodbye to companions is always difficult and Amy Pond and Rory Williams seem set to be no different. Though it does help that we€™ve seen Rory die a few times already, so I suspect we€™re used to saying goodbye to him by now. €˜The Angels Take Manhattan€™ will apparently see the pair leave in a €œheart breaking€ way. I€™ve purposefully avoided the spoilers because I want to be surprised, but my pick is for Amy to die rather than Rory, purely because Rory dying has been a bit overdone and frankly if he died, we€™d all expect him to come back regardless of what Moffat wrote. However I have to stress that I have no idea what is going to happen, suffice to say I€™ll probably need a bundle of Kleenex, as after €˜The Girl Who Waited€™ I had something stuck in my eyes. It€™ll be tough to see Karen and Arthur leave the series, as their chemistry with the Doctor has been flawless. It will also be interesting to see the effect this has on River Song, who also appears in the episode and seems poised to lose one of her parents. So there you go, 10 reasons to be excited for Saturday night. And spare a thought for me, my gratification will be delayed until late on Sunday night as the BBC inconsiderately decided to air the debut episode on the weekend I€™m going to Belgium for the Formula 1. I€™ll be placing myself inside a self-imposed Doctor Who Pandorica until I get back home.
