3. The Doctor And Clara
The Doctor and Clara, in the TARDIS, hugging. All of the feels. After some initial teething problems between the pair last year, not quite sure what to make of each other, and with Clara torn between the man in the TARDIS and the man in her love life, the two are going to be getting on much better this time around, with a far stronger bond between them. While Clara split her time last year between 'normal' and 'journeying through time and space with a really old alien', series 9 will see her once more fully committed to the TARDIS way of life, which is great news as it should make for a much better dynamic between the two. While Clara was really strong last year, the criticism of her being more central than the Doctor himself was understandable, and from what we see of them in the trailer it appears that the balance should very much be restored.
