Whovians all remember how heartbroken the Tenth Doctor was after the loss of Rose Tyler. However, he has little time to grieve his loss when loud-mouthed bride Donna Noble suddenly appears in the Tardis in the 2006 Christmas Special, 'The Runaway Bride'.

The Doctor discovers that Donna's fiance, Lance, has been slowly poisoning her with Huon particles so that the spider-like Queen of the Racnoss can use her to awaken her children and revive the Racnoss race. The Doctor and Donna are forced to work together to stop the alien plot. In one particularly memorable moment, Donna manages to talk The Doctor down in one of his darker moments after he is forced to drown the Queen of the Racnoss.

While Donna refuses an offer to travel with The Doctor at the end of the special, the character had endeared herself to fans, most of whom were overjoyed when Donna returned as a full-time companion in the Series Four premiere, 'Partners In Crime'.
