6. Jenny Dies The Doctor's Daughter
Upon stepping out of the TARDIS on the planet Messaline, The Doctor is forced to place his hand into a device that extracts his DNA. Seconds later, a young woman appears; shes a fully trained soldier and is technically the Doctors daughter. With Donnas guidance, they give her a name: Jenny, and Donna tries to help the Doctor accept her. He appears to be conflicted: unsure as to whether he should see has a just a soldier to fight in the war or as his child. As the Doctor always does, he gets to the source of the problem, he finds out what started the war. He tries to put an end to the fighting, to create a time of peace between the humans and the Hath. Everyone places their guns down, ready to forgive and move on. Except General Cobb, who is too war scarred to let it go. He fires his gun at the Doctor. But Jenny dives in front of him, taking the bullet to her chest. Its a sad moment; the Doctor had just started to accept her as his own, he was just promising her a life with him in the TARDIS and then she was snatched from him. Dead, like all of his other children back on Gallifrey. Its a puppy kick moment because, although as an audience we dont know Jenny well, we can see the Doctors suffering, as he watches his child die and remembers the other children that he had once lost.
