Doctor Who: Top 10 "Puppy Kick" Moments

5. Rose€™s Dad Dies €“ Father€™s Day

fathers day Rose had always known her Dad had died on her parent€™s friend€™s wedding day. She asked the Doctor to take her there to see him, to be there with him when he died. Instead, she manages to save him from the car that was set to kill him. But there were consequences for her actions: Reapers. They came to fix the wound in time by devouring the human race. The Doctor bundles everyone into the church and in true Doctor Who style, comes up with a plan to save the day €“ one that allows Rose€™s Dad, Pete, to stay alive. However, when Pete is trying to prove to Jackie that both older and younger Rose are the same person, Rose is thrust into Rose€™s arms. This creates a paradox. Time is even more wounded and the Reapers get inside the church. The Doctor, as the oldest in the room, sacrifices himself in the hope that the others might survive. They are helpless. Until Pete, gazing out of the window, realises that he should be dead. He says goodbye to Jackie; allowing them both to realise how much they love each other. Then he says goodbye to Rose, thanking her for the extra hours that she gave him. It€™s a tearful moment for everyone, even if you can€™t relate to the horror of losing someone close to you. Pete runs out into the road and lets the car hit him. The Reapers disappear and The Doctor returns, telling Rose to go to her Father. She leans over his body as he takes his last few breaths and looks into the eyes of his daughter.
