2. It May Have Big Cameos
With the (seemingly permanent) featuring of Cyborg in the show, the gates to the dazzling world of DC cameos have well and truly opened.
This is particularly exciting when you take into account all the big names that have featured in the series itself. Not only has the Doom Patrol fought against Black Lanterns for the better portion of a comic volume, but they’ve also featured a Kryptonian that Caulder keeps under lock and key for plot purposes. Although we don’t yet know if these storylines will see the big screen, it’s more than worth keeping in mind that Doom Patrol may be the first place DC lets their franchises crossover.
At the very least, the crossover between Doom Patrol and Titans is more or less confirmed, which makes sense given that Beast Boy has close ties with the team. Even if it’s not a major crossover, it does imply that Batman is canonically skulking about somewhere, which may be good enough for now.
