Every Classic Doctor Who Companion Ranked From Worst To Best

Polly was a companion of the First and Second Doctor's, becoming one of the first humans to witness a regeneration, along with her future husband Ben Jackson. She was also friendly with Jamie McCrimmon and Dodo Chaplet for a short time as well.

She travelled with the Doctor to 17th Century Cornwall, though they arrived dressed for snow rather than the sheets of rain falling down around them. After this adventure, the three of them went to Antarctica, where she helped to fend off an invasion of Cybermen from Mondas. It was during these events that she witnessed the regeneration, initially struggling to accept it, though eventually helping Ben to see the Doctor as the man he really was.

Although she enjoyed her adventures in the TARDIS, she held a desire to travel home. When they discovered that the Doctor had travelled to London in 1966, before they had actually left, she chose to remain behind and enjoy a quieter life. Bear in mind, this was not along after she had encountered the Daleks, which would be enough to make anyone want to stay home.
