4. Super Buu
The middle version of Buu is the most fleshed out version of the villain that we see. The fat Majin Buu was controlled and motivated by manipulation. Kid Buu is an unhinged maniac.
Super Buu, however, is the most intelligent of the forms. He uses strategy, and is the only form that is capable of speaking properly. It is thanks to this that his arc is the most enjoyable of all the Buus.
Even though Super Buu is not the strongest version, as he is overpowered repeatedly, but his intelligence allows him to escape. Thanks to this he's able to absorb Piccolo, Gohan and Gotenks and become even more of a threat than before.
It's also possible that Super Buu has the largest body count of any villain in the series. While Frieza is responsible for the murder of thousands, it's not something we see, we're only told. Super Buu, on the other hand, kills the entire population of Earth in seconds after being taunted by Piccolo.
His battles are also the most unique of all the versions of Buu. He goes up against Gotenks and the Potara fusion of Vegeta and Goku, Vegito. These fights allow for abilities and powers the likes of which we hadn't seen before.
It's because of his motives, his battles and his key moments that Super Buu is the best version of Buu, and one of the best villains the show has seen.
