One of the best villains in the show's best arc of episodes, Cell is a special kind of antagonist.

Cell is the ultimate creation of Dr. Gero, and he has the genetic and physical traits of many of the Z Warriors and even the likes of Frieza.

While Cell has multiple forms, from the insect looking Imperfect Form to the bloated Semi-Perfect Form, he never shines as bright as he does until he reaches his Perfect Form. A form that is self-titled, as Cell believes he is the most perfect and powerful fighter to ever live.

Unlike other villains before him, Cell doesn't set out to conquer. Instead, he wants to fight the strongest warriors around to test his true power. Because of this, he sets up the Cell Games, where the Earth's most mighty heroes will come to face him one on one.

It's in the Cell Games that we are given some of the best moments of the series. Vegeta learns to care for the Earth, and his family. Gohan lets out his hidden power and becomes Super Saiyan 2 in one of, if not the, best transformation in the series. Top it all off with the Father-Son Kamehameha, as Cell receives one of the most epic and chilling deaths in the series.

When it comes to Dragon Ball Z villains, Cell is one of the most memorable. While he may not top the list, he is without a doubt among the best.
