Inside No 9
BBC

Plot: After a pop star (David Bedella) dies while visiting a sick child, it turns out his last breath is inside a balloon he was inflating. The other people in the house realize how much this might be worth and argue over who gets ownership of the pop star's last breath.

Location: A suburban house.

This is probably the least-popular episode of Inside No. 9 ever, but is it deserved? Well... yes and no.

On the one hand, it's still a good episode. It's very well-acted, it's got an interesting concept and features plenty of stinging, misanthropic social commentary that won't fail to provoke thought.

On the other hand, it's overly mean-spirited. Virtually all of the characters are absolute scumbags and the involvement of a very sick child (Lucy Hutchinson, who proved herself a good child actor here) in this felt like a step too far. As well as this, there's not much plot or character development here and the episode does get repetitive.

So yes, it is one of the worst Inside No. 9 episodes but it's not bad and it's certainly not the worst episode to date.
