The Crown was a big hit for Netflix when it debuted towards the end of last year, and it's a good thing too: the show is one of the most expensive ever produced, costing around £10m per episode.

The show's lavish production values were clearly evident onscreen, as was the talent of its cast - most notably Claire Foy as the Queen, and John Lithgow as Winston Churchill.

The second season takes place from 1956-64, honing in on Elizabeth and Phillip's personal lives as they expand their family, while taking a more international approach too: they'll visit everywhere from Papa New Guinea to the Antartic, while Dexter's Michael C. Hall is onboard to play John F. Kennedy.
