20. All American

All American
The CW

Another Greg Berlanti-produced series (taking his number of shows on air up to roughly 1,138, give or take), All American is based on the life of NFL player Spencer Paysinger, and sees a South L.A. high school footballer recruited to play for Beverly Hills high, looking at the struggles that happen as differing worlds collide.

April Blair (Reign, Heart of Dixie) has created the series, while Daniel Ezra takes on the lead role.

19. Charmed

Charmed Reboot
The CW

Not much stays dead in TV, and certainly not if you're a popular TV show that dealt in the occult. Charmed, which ran on The WB for eight seasons between 1998-2006, is being rebooted by The CW and Jane the Virgin writers Jessica O’Toole, Amy Rardin, and Jennie Snyder Urman.

The cast is new - Melonie Diaz, Sarah Jeffery, and Madeleine Mantock - but the rest is as you'd expect, with three sisters discovering they're witches and harnessing that power to fight everything from demons to the patriarchy.

NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far. A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
