21. Bart's New (Second-Hand) Star Trek Utility Belt

The Simpsons Homer Gorn
20th Television

The third episode in The Simpsons' eighth season, The Homer They Fall, sees Homer realise he has a medical condition that prevents him from being knocked out, which results in Moe pushing him towards becoming a boxer.

Once again providing no purpose to the story, though, is The Comic Book Guy, who attempts to sell a utility belt he won at a Star Trek convention bingo game to a pawn shop.

His reasoning for selling it is because, according to him, the manufacturers of said utility belt have clearly gotten their sizes wrong, as a medium-sized belt would never fit around the waist of most Star Trek fans.

The shopkeeper refused to buy the belt from him, and it was instead Bart who found himself in the possession of a utility belt, all for the small price of four dollars.
