Every Star Trek Reference, Easter Eggs & Jokes In The Simpsons

Old Yeller Belly, from The Simpsons' fourteenth season, focuses on a bit of an emotional story, as Santa's Little Helper fails to save Homer from a fire. This leads to Homer essentially disowning the family dog, causing heartbreak to dog fans everywhere, before the two eventually reconcile by the end of the episode after the hound spends a while as Duff Beer's mascot.

At the beginning of the episode, though, Bart and his friends are in the treehouse attempting to spy on Lisa and her friends having a tea party when they come across The Comic Book Guy picking up three outfits from Springfield's dry cleaners; one being a Batman outfit, another being a Spider-Man outfit, and the last being a Star Trek: The Original Series blue science uniform.
