Despite the firing of Kevin Spacey and production shutting down in its wake, Netflix are still aiming to have House of Cards Season 6 out in 2018 - and indeed production did resume recently, with Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear joining the cast.

There's a major retooling job needed in the wake of Spacey's departure, not least to find a way of writing him out of the series, but also some promise too: Robin Wright's Claire was already in charge, but now she's going to be doubly so, getting the season as lead she's long deserved and perhaps giving the show a fitting sendoff.
