Falcon & The Winter Soldier: 10 Biggest Takeaways From Episode Two

5. Karli Morgenthau Is Being Hunted

As the leader of the Flag Smashers, Karli Morgenthau will have certainly made a fair amount of enemies, even in spite of the support she is receiving from much of the public. For starters, she has put a target on her back that Sam, Bucky, John, and Lemar are all aiming for, but they are not the only ones.

In episode two, Karli received a mysterious text from an unknown number, claiming that she stole what was theirs, and threatening to find her and kill her. It remains to be seen exactly who this is, but it seems that Karli is genuinely concerned by it, even keeping it from her fellow Flag Smashers.

Typically, the group have only been stealing from government camps set up to help those returning to life after the Blip, and it's unlikely that this would be the source of the message, so who could be hunting the leader of the Flag Smashers?

What about John Walker himself? If the new Cap is desperate enough to properly live up to the name, would it be too unreasonable to think he'd do anything to get his hands on the same super soldier serum that has seemingly given the Flag Smashers their powers? Is it possible that both Karli and John have had a run-in in the past?
