3. Conway Twitty

You might say I am cheating with this selection since Conway Twitty died in 1993 - six years before the inception of Family Guy - and isn't by the technical definition of the word a "guest star". But we thought his inclusion on this list was warranted considering he appears in six episodes of Family Guy and even the film "It's A Trap!" The legendary country singer, who achieved 40 No. 1 Billboard country hits in his lifetime and was posthumously inducted into the Country Music and Rockabilly Halls of Fame, is used as a cut-away gag in Family Guy to provide distraction after a joke is made in poor taste or after a moment of awkwardness. His appearances are usually cued by the line - "Looks like I need a distraction! Ladies and gentlemen, Mr Conway Twitty", at which point the singer will perform renditions of songs such as "I See The Want To In Your Eyes".
