7. Michael Jackson

The King of Pop was not so exalted from being able to escape the grasp of Boyle's ruthless commentary. However, it must be said it's strange that he was able to find something with which to hold against the now deceased musical legend. Except of course the numerous counts of child abuse that he was accused with (and found not guilty). Or the fact that his skin changed shade and shape remarkably throughout his life. Maybe the fact that his lifestyle was incredibly distinctive to be polite, and disturbingly creepy to be accurate. There was also the incident of hanging his baby outside a hotel window. And of course the controversial circumstances that surround his drug-induced manslaughter in 2009. All of this and more has provided ample material for Boyle, for guffaws such as:
"Before Michael Jackson died he weighed less than nine stone and the only thing he would eat willingly was nachos. Nachos being the name of a young Mexican boy.""When I was about eight or nine I was a huge Michael Jackson fan, and I wish I knew at the time that I was his type""An interesting attitude we have to paedophilia in this country, We dont want paedophiles round here! Unless they've really worked on their choreography But none of these jokes truly captured bizarre environment that surrounded Jackson's life as his portrayal of "Michael Jackson Children's Hospital". Even by Boyle's standards it was an odd delve into eeriness, and this was probably one of the most peculiar segments in British stand-up history.
