Friday Night Lights Cast: Where Are They Now?

8. Aimee Teegarden (Julie Taylor)

Friday Night Lights Jesse Plemons
NBC

Aimee Teegarden’s Julie Taylor grows up onscreen over the five years of the show’s run, with Teegarden one of the few actors who is actually age appropriate for her character. Julie is a particularly well realised TV teen, prone to the usual ups and downs of adolescence but without the over the top drama and outlandishness many shows fail to resist.

Since then, it’s fair to say Teegarden has not been up to all that much. Her highest profile works have been ambivalently received horrors Scream 4 and Rings, the unnecessary addition to the post modern franchise and the latest remake of the Japanese thriller respectively.

Aside from that, Teegarden has plied her trade on TV. She was a regular on ABC’s Notorious, though this legal drama sank without a trace in the wake of poor reviews and a slashed episode order. She also headlined Star-Crossed, a teen sci fi drama that started strong but haemorrhaged viewers across its run.

Teegarden continues to work primarily on the small screen, but has been far from prolific of late, with a couple of projects a year as a rule.
