5. Gunther Should Have Been There
What Happened
Gunther was the best character aside from the core 6; he’s the character with the most appearances after the main cast, totting up 185 episodes.
He was consistently there, supplying coffee at all hours of the day and hoping Rachel would one day succumb to his bleach blonde charms, yet his character didn't feature much at all towards the end.
What Should Have Happened
The coffee house was central to the entire show, it was where the characters bonded and where we bonded with them, where we first met Rachel and where she got The Fear, where Chandler discovered the wonders of pen with the naked lady, and where Ross uncovered the state of Unagi.
The final scene should have been the gang introducing Emma and the twins to Central Perk, a place where they’d all grown up. One final scene in the coffee house with an attempt to get Rachel would have been a lovely little feature for Gunther.
