5. She Stole Monica's Thunder
Monica and Rachel have been best friends since high school. Monica took Rachel in after she called off her marriage to Barry. Not to mention all the other stuff Monica had done for Rachel throughout their relationship.
So you would think Rachel would be happy for her best friend after she got engaged to Chandler, right?
Wrong. Rachel’s first reaction was to feel sorry for herself, upset that she wasn’t where she wanted to be in life. To counteract this, she flirted with Ross and suggested the idea of the two having a ‘bonus night’ of no-strings-attached sex.
Monica was understandably upset when she caught Ross and Rachel kissing as she knew it would ‘steal her thunder’ and overshadow what was supposed to be her and Chandler’s celebration party. All she wanted was for her lifelong best friend to be happy for her.
And then there’s Ross, we all know about his and Rachel’s complicated relationship, but on this night Rachel was willing to use him for her own personal satisfaction when she knows full well how much he thinks of her.
