Futurama: 12 Greatest Bender Episodes

6. A Pharoah To Remember (S4E7)

Beneath Bender’s cold, hard exterior lives a showman who just wants attention. The adoration of his co-workers wasn’t enough for him in this episode however, as he wanted the entire world to know him.

His only wish was for people to remember his name, and when heisting a swimming pool, attempted grand graffiti, and a surprise funeral made him feel worse than ever, he decided he wanted to become a Pharoah on O'Cyris IV.

To follow in the footsteps of Enupsis, Pleotut, and What’s-his-name, Bender became drunk on power (and probably booze too). Fry, Bender, and Leela became slaves of the Pharoah Hermonthotip on the planet that resembled Earth's Ancient Egypt, but at the moment of his death, Bender rose to take his place.

Of course, he was harder on his human subjects than his predecessor, and had comically large statues built and ripped down at his command. This episode is all about Bender’s ego, and how it ran out of control at the slightest bit of attention. He enslaved an entire planet just to have his name remembered by the people he worked to death to remember his name.
