Game Of Thrones: 10 Characters We Desperately Want To Survive Season Five

6. Ramsay Bolton

So many of the characters on Game of Thrones exist in varying shades of grey, neither inherently good nor evil but rather powered by their own selfish motivations. Even the detestable King Joffrey€™s behaviour could almost be rationalised by the fact that he€™d been corrupted by power at such a young age. Then there€™s Ramsay Bolton. The as-of-now heir of Roose the betrayer is a despicable human being, one whose entire existence is fueled by cruelty and the gratification he receives at causing others pain and discomfort. His transformation from unclaimed bastard to tyrant-in-waiting has been equal parts disconcerting and entertaining, and he€™s become one of the most enthralling characters on the show. Whenever he€™s onscreen, it€™s impossible to look away and viewers are in a constant shock at the level of psychological torment he€™s willing to inflict upon people, even those he€™s close to. The dinner scene where he taunts both Sansa and Reek, even forcing his disgraced slave to admit to the murders of Bran and Rickon €“ atrocities he didn€™t actually commit €“ was particularly engrossing and a great example of what an awesomely villainous cretin Ramsay can be. Bolton is a sociopath in the truest sense of the word, and if he meets his end this season, it will be depriving us of the drama created by his impending marriage to Sansa Stark, one of the bright points of season five.
